 Gérard Moss
was
born in England and brought up in Switzerland. He has
lived in Brazil since 1983. Although qualified as a
Mechanical Engineer, he worked in shipbroking, both in
Switzerland and Brazil. He took his private pilot's
licence in the United States in 1983, and is the team's
pilot-in-command.

Margi Moss
 was
born and brought up in Kenya, and has lived in Brazil
since 1980. She holds an Arts degree from St. Andrews
University, Scotland and worked for several years for
British Airways (on the ground) in Rio de Janeiro. She
took her pilot's licence just before the trip around the
world, but rather enjoys her role as back-seat driver.

Together
 Having
found their own separate ways to Brazil, they met on
Christmas Day 1985 in Búzios and have become naturalised
Brazilians. In 1989, they quit their respective jobs and
set off around the world chasing rainbows in their
single-engine plane. They became seriously infected by an
incurable travel bug. Now they have also been to the ends
of the Americas and you can be sure they are always
plotting something else.

 When not taking
Romeo and Monte for a spin to some remote corner of the
globe, they can probably be found under a thorn tree in a
national park somewhere in Africa.
